A MISSION EXPLAINED

Art From Here is on a mission to connect people to art and artists to an income stream.

One of the perks of being new is the opportunity to introduce ourselves: Art From Here is an online print gallery born from trying to connect artists to patrons.

As simple as that sounds, there’s so much to learn and develop as I build this company! Science says the physiological reaction to anxiety and excitement are the same, and I feel that :) Digging deep, I'm in a race against time to launch so that artists can stay in the business of making art.

In addition to motivation, I use this mission as a tool. Approaching each decision, I’m grateful to have this mission statement clearly articulated. We have a working, navigational tool to test against: 

• Will this create connection with the art?

• Will this sell the art and benefit the artist?

The concept of Art From Here began a few years ago while I closed one career and began to discover a new one. I pushed myself into new things to see what would stick. 

For two years I worked as a small-business marketing consultant, an interior designer, and an artist all at once. It didn’t feel like I was getting anywhere. Now I see how I was picking up a lot of pieces that would all come together here in 2026.

I wrote this mission statement with Kierstan Craft, a fellow arts advocate, and it took us only a matter of minutes.  It’s a driving force that keeps me going. This is what I believe I can do in the world to best support the arts and local economies.
